ADVENT Project Crystallin Trooper (XCOM: The Crystallin Project)

An ADVENT Project Crystallin Trooper, a fanon variant of ADVENT Trooper from my head-canon XCOM world, specifically the story, "The Crystallin Project." Created specifically to provide security for "The Crystallin Project," a secretive ADVENT effort to produce artificial Elerium, Project Crystallin Troopers received slightly superior psionic training than the standard ADVENT troopers, and also utilized slightly more protective armor. Their armor featured an enclosed helmet that had filtration systems, and their armor as a whole was designed to reduce the effects of toxic chemicals and fumes, which were common in many Project Crystallin facilities. Often armed with magnetic submachine guns or magnetic shotguns, these soldiers excelled in close-quarters combat, which was quite useful for the often tight corridors of the bases they protected. Usually, they were only deployed within Project Crystallin facilities, but they were occasionally sent abroad to project sensitive data or to help standard troops in retrieving Project Crystallin data stolen by resistance groups. After Project Crystallin was destroyed, they stopped being produced, though an ADVENT Remnant reused their armor.
