This skin features a faerie fossilized in amber. She has light skin, ginger hair, and orange eyes. From certain angles you can see straight through to her skeleton.
She is wearing a brown, off the shoulder, asymmetrical dress.

I was inspired by the simultaneous beauty and horror of amber inclusions.

This is also an entry to the orange jam on Planet Minecraft

just realized that translucent pixels dont work in game and this skin looks so weird with the translucent pixels being full opacity XD
It works fine in Java edition, but Bedrock doesn't support semi-transparent pixels.

You did a great job even with the limited palette! Amber has got to be my favorite fossil because the color variety. Amber shifts colors at different angles, so it will be a fun challenge to put that on a skin
Aw, thank you very much!
Ty! :)
That'd be cool to see. This concept could definitely be improved upon, and even have a myriad of different interpretations.
I think this concept would look way cooler with more intense hue shifting. I was limited to only shades of orange for the jam, but real amber inclusions have a lot of vibrant yellows and reds.

The Skindex editor doesn't support semi transparent pixels, but if you choose a file straight from the upload tab, you can post skins with a semi-transparent outer layer.
I make my transparent skins in Photopea, which is a free photoshop equivalent, but if you prefer a MC skin specific editor the Planet Minecraft editor, PMCSkin3D, supports transparency. :)
Thank you so much! :)
That's so cool! How did you make it transparent?
Thank you! :D
