. . .

hi
alright, so, about a week ago I posted a skin (on my main account) asking if any of you would be interested in reading part of something I’ve started writing, and some people said yes, so that’s what I’m going to be doing.

the prologue is a bit long, so if you guys somehow like this first part enough and want more, then I’ll upload the next part soon.

there’s nothing bad that happens in the prologue, especially in this first part, so you guys don’t have anything to worry about.. yet.

story will be in the comments. please do not comment until I’m done.
(I’ll.. also work on the pixel art later. I’m bad at pixel art and this is all I came up with the other night.)

I need more, I lived reading this! You have a very pretty style of writing, and I was able to visualize everything as I read!
the lore of Cinreiphus seems very interesting so far, I'm curious about the whole living planet thing!

and I'm also very scared for little Isaac's innocence, since it appears to me that no character is truly an eclipse oc if there isn't an impending traumatizing event in their storyline /hj
(I can smell the """"tomato sauce"""" already)

since it most likely won’t be explained in the actual story, Cinreiphus is basically considered a “sister planet” to Earth so it can sustain life just as much as Earth can.
it’s located in what I call the New Universe which is very similar to our universe, but a parallel version of it.

and you should be.
oh, how fun it is to hold all the power and to give characters trauma, no matter how old and how innocent they are..

that’s it for part one. let me know if any of you want the next part of the prologue, and I’ll get it out soon.

you may comment now.
Sitting in the mellow grass with his arms over his knees or laying down comfortably was sweet and peaceful, not too sultry or bitter for the boy to handle. Doing this allowed room for relaxation, even though Isaac’s life is not as stressful as someone else’s, as he is only a small child with nothing to worry about. Well, except for the necessities, such as food, water, shelter, and love, but all four of those things have been met for his survival.
Every year, the family decorates the home for Isaac’s birthday with a new theme to make the occasion feel more special and unique for him. Last year, the theme for Isaac’s birthday party was animals and nature, to go along with what he was learning about in school.
However, going outside was exactly what Isaac wanted to do, not because he wanted to go against his parents safety wishes and go into the forest, but because it was a warm summer day. Only thin misty clouds took the sky, with a calming, gentle breeze bringing the cozy warmth with it to the top of the hill. To Isaac, the air felt like a soft campfire; his favorite kind of weather.
Another hour passed by, and with that, the sound of the front door opening and a great number of people stepping inside, chattering and laughing with each other. Little Isaac heard this immediately and dashed outside his room to happily go greet his dad. But when he arrived into the open room between the living room and the kitchen, he didn’t only see his dad, but his grandparents and close cousins too!
But his family was the only thing Isaac was allowed to see now for his mother sent him to go play outside until everything was ready. And despite his little child brain, Isaac knew exactly what was happening; he was made to go outside so the family could decorate the house and not risk the child wandering through whenever he pleased, spoiling the surprise.
The little boy waited hours sitting in his room, as bored and impatient as he could be. Isaac was eagerly awaiting for his father to come home, along with the rest of their family, so he could have some of his mother’s famous lemon cake and open presents. On top of it all, he was dying to know what his parents got him as his special “seventh birthday” surprise. When his parents turned seven, they both were blessed with the rarest powers people on Cinreiphus could receive, in the form of earrings for mother Mara Cinder and a chain for father Aric Cinder. Now, it was Isaac Cinder’s turn to discover what destiny was about to fall upon him, and he couldn’t be more excited and anxious for it at the same time.
Since the schools were no longer handing out so much homework this close to break, Isaac had nothing to do in his room except to play a board game.. until he got bored of the board game, and resorted to stare out his bedroom window and gaze longingly into the deep forest behind the house. Technically, the house was out in the open on the emerald green hill, but this was the only house you would see here for acres. So, in a way, one could say they “owned” the forest of unknown oddities that no one dares to enter. And, by “no one,” that means only Isaac just because his parents want to look out for his safety by telling him he cannot go in there.
