did I do it right? I couldn't really understand the instructions that well (its not your fault eleanor)

yes, so what you did was take the colors and then add it into your shading, which is fine with me but that's not really what the tutorial is meant to do. So first you're gonna start by probably having a little bit more colors and then taking the colors into your shading, but reusing the light ones to add even down on the skin

probably 2 colors is best for this
