About me

French Rear Admiral during the war of 1812, Born in Brest, France 1769, and sailed small boats from a young age. When growing up, Bleu took up quartermaster school and was recruited into the officer ranks of the French Navy. At the battle of Ushant, Bleu demonstrated great naval skills and was promoted to Captain in 1781. after that, advance learning of the fleet proved that he was able to take stress of a Admiral and promoted to Rear Admiral in 1792. in 1805, Bleu was 2nd in command of the French Navy and served under Vice Admiral Villeneuve during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 on the Second Rate ship Le Riptide. He survived the battle of 1815 and later died in 1824 from old age and vulnerable to disease at the time. he was buried at a cemetery in his birthplace of Brest near the Sea.
