I had no idea how big the paragraphs really were...dang.....
Years ago, the queen was born. Her sister, loved her with all of her heart, and the two were almost inseparable. Her sister was next in line for the throne, so it seemed as life was seemingly perfect for her. Until one day, the young heir found a book of dark magic hidden within the library. She practiced it without knowing what it was or what the consequences would be. While using this book, it seemed to pull at a weak point in her heart, making her think that her parents favored her younger sister more than her. So, in time, her love for her sister became hate, and she tried to kill her sister in her sleep with the power she’d wielded from the book. When the princess was casting her spell, the younger sister woke up, and told her parents about what had happened. As punishment, the heiress was now torn from her status as the next ruler and her younger sister now took her place. This sealed the deal for her, and she killed her parents, and almost killed her sister if it wasn’t for the queen’s speed, she wouldn’t be alive and ruling today. The queen’s sister left the Kingdom of Glass and began her own empire; now known as the Kingdom of Shards. Apparently, ruling her own kingdom wasn’t enough for her, as she started the war by invading our kingdom. The queen wasn’t hesitant to fight back, and we’ve been at war ever since. The war hasn’t been showing any signs of weakening from either sides, making it very hard to tell if we need help from a neighboring kingdom or not, and the queen has been getting anxious. She had been looking for ways to win, whether or not she needed help, but no other kingdom wanted to help, so her highness had looked into magic for help, and that’s when she found out about passing through dimensions through mirrors. Only she can do the spell, and all the passer has to do is give a bit of blood in order to pass through the mirror dimensions. And that’s where the 17 girls that passed through came into play. The queen said she knew who it was that could help us…but we hadn’t exactly found who she’s been looking for.
Aunnie explained the story as if it were her own, as if she were the queen, or maybe the queen’s sister, but I knew she wasn’t, because Aunnie didn’t have as many details as reality had (and because I was going to meet the queen, so that was already ruled out.). “So this is all about jealousy?” I asked. “I suppose. I don’t really know, the queen’s sister is very secretive. We thought she was dead until the Kingdom of Shards came to be.” Aunnie replied finishing up my hair. It had been awhile since I had gotten dressed up like this. And even then, it wasn’t this nice. I looked at a nearby mirror and admired my new look. I wore a white dress with gold accents and my brown hair was put into a fancy yet loose bun with small gold flowers in it. Yeah, this was WAY fancier than I thought. “Is this really what I’m wearing?” I asked Aunnie. I was in awe. I almost didn’t want to be wearing this; I felt like I’d get it dirty within seconds! “Yes, this is what you’re wearing. Now let’s get going before the queen gets angry.” Aunnie said grabbing my hand and leading me through the castle. “You guys need to slow down! I can’t keep up!” Tera said trailing after us. “We’re almost there anyway, it won’t matter if you catch up to us or not.” Aunnie said not even bothering to look back at the young girl behind us. I looked back at her, I felt awful for the girl, from what Aunnie had told me, Tera was the youngest person that worked in the castle. I averted my eyes from Tera back to ahead of me so that I wouldn’t crash into anything while we were running. I didn’t want to break anything in a castle here…no offense to her, but the queen here sounds awful! I mean…killing or giving someone amnesia? Who does she think she is? I get she’s a queen, but that doesn’t give her the right to do something like that. This only made my nerves worse when we came upon the room where I assumed the queen was waiting…I breathed in and out…but nothing seemed to work, I could be facing death right here!
In at least half an hour, I was dressed and almost ready to be presented to this queen of sorts. I wasn’t sure I wanted to meet her though; she sounded awful to be honest. Beheading people, and if there were 17 other girls here before me, what exactly did she do to them? “Hey Aunnie, what happened to the girls that came here before me?” I asked while she was doing my hair. “Oh…I don’t know…she either kills them or sends them back with amnesia.” she replied after thinking it over. I did NOT want to die or get amnesia. They both sounded pretty bad to be honest. I mean dying…that’s…death. And then there’s amnesia, and it could be minor, but most likely it would be fatal and I’d forget everything and everyone I ever knew. I shivered at her response. “I wouldn’t worry about it too much; just think of it this way, you might be who she’s looking for!” Tera said trying to lighten the mood. Tera was 11, and Aunnie was my age. Fredric was 15, but he acted as if he was 5. I already knew that though. Aunnie was the most mature of the group and seemed to be the smarter one too (which also didn’t surprise me since she seemed to know all these things about the queen.). Tera was just a servant and mostly kept to herself, and Aunnie didn’t talk about her much. “So Aunnie…how did I get here exactly?” I asked her, Aunnie instantly stopped doing my hair and the room was silent. “I kinda…kidnapped you…” she replied quietly. “YOU WERE THE ONE WHO PULLED ME THROUGH MY MIRROR?!” I screamed at her, getting up from the chair I was sitting on and turning to face her. “It’s not like I had a choice in the matter! It was the queen’s orders!” she said shoving me back down into my chair. “Well you didn’t have to scare me with all the blood and cracked up mirror!” I replied, calming down a bit. “That’s a part of the spell. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t cut myself for it to work!” Aunnie spat at me, poison in each word. This subject obviously made her mad and uncomfortable. “Well sorry! I had no idea! I’m just trying to understand what’s going on!” I thought, but didn’t say, I knew for a fact if I said that aloud Aunnie would kill me instead of the queen having me beheaded or given amnesia. I decided to leave the subject where it was to avoid any killing. “Um…so…do you know how this war started?” I asked. Hopefully this wasn’t a bad subject. “Sibling rivalry.” she replied. I could tell she was still a little ticked. “Um…mind going into a little more detail?” I asked. “Fine.”

“She’s got weird clothes.” I heard a boy’s voice say as I started waking back up. “Oh shut up Fredric, this is what they wear there.” another voice said, this time a girl. “Everyone…?” the boy asked. “Some people at least.” the girl replied, some annoyance in her voice. “HEY LOOK SHE’S MOVING!” a new voice said, another girl. “She is? YAY! Now we can talk to her!” the boy sounded super excited. I slowly opened my eyes to find myself surrounded by 2 teenagers and a little girl. “Hello Mirra I’m-” “I’m Fredric and this is Aunnie and my little sister Tera! The boy said interrupting the girl. “We have to take her to the queen now, didn’t she say-” the little girl named Tera was cut off by Frederic, who I now assumed just liked to interrupt people. “Nonsense! The queen can wait! The queen will just throw her out anyway, we never get to talk to them!” It also seemed as if he was a child. “You don’t know that! And don’t talk about the queen that way, if she heard you she’d have you beheaded!” Aunnie said whacking Fredric in the back of the head. “OWE! Aunnie, you know it’s true though! She’s done it to the last 17 other girls that came here, she won’t be any different!” Frederic said rubbing the back of his head. “Will you two stop fighting? Someone’s coming!” Tera said, she was leaning her ear against the door, listening. “Dang it! We didn’t get to talk to her…” Fredric complained looking toward the door. “Yeah, thanks to you…” I heard Aunnie mumble, and I couldn’t help giggling. “Is she up yet?! The queen is getting a little anxious…” I heard a voice from outside say. Before Fredric could say anything, Aunnie answered first. “Yes, she just needs to get dressed. I’m having trouble getting Fredric out.” she said turning her gaze from the door to him. Fredric just looked at her and paled. “Oh…um…I was…just leaving…” he said instantly standing up and running to the door, opening it and joining the other boy outside the door. “Anyway, Mirra, you need to get prepared to meet her. She’s obviously tired of waiting.” she said motioning to Tera to help her. “Um…how do you guys know my name?” I asked as I got off the bed I had been sleeping on. “You’re a suspected savior. Of course we know your name.” Aunnie said like it was obvious. “Um…I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said carefully. “Oh…yeah, oops. Well, you’re in the Kingdom of Glass, and for the past few years we’ve been at war with the Kingdom of Shards. Our queen found a way to reach through dimensions to find the savior. We’ve been looking for years, but as you heard from Fredric, they’ve never been the right one. Hopefully you’re what she’s looking for.” Aunnie explained. “Oh um…you’re 16 by the way, right?” “Yeah?” I replied, looking at her curiously. “Oh good.” she said and then turned around and told Terra to run a bath for me while she looked for new clothes that would fit me.

I looked in the mirror, no, this shouldn’t be happening. I was preparing myself for school, and I’d heard something, as if something had shattered. I went back upstairs to check to see what had happened. Now, here I was, standing in front of my mirror, which was now cracked and blood seemed to be coming through them. Instead of my own reflection, there stood a hooded figure reaching their hand out to me. I stepped back in fear; no way was I touching that mirror! The figure seemed to notice my slow movement and pressed their hand against the glass, making it crack a little more, and more blood oozed from the cracks. Before I could move back anymore, the figure’s arm had reached out and grabbed my arm. I screamed, There was no way I was coming with this guy! I tried to pull my arm out of their grasp, but they just held tighter, which made me squeak in pain. This person had a strong grip! I tried to scream again, but the person pulled me into the mirror and covered my mouth which prevented me from screaming. While in the mirror, it looked as if everything was going in slow motion. I suddenly felt myself falling into sleep.
