Hey! I guess you could call me a "professional"... Well, I started out where you are not to long ago! And I almost have 100 followers! Trust me, the first thing you want to do is find out your shading technique. I didn't do that right away, and now I regret it. Start off with simple shading, just to get a feel for it. Check out some of my earlier skins if you want to see what I'm talking about. After shading skins like that for a while, branch out into different shading styles! Look at other's skins, just to see how they do it. Then try something similar, just to see how they do it. That's how I found mine! Try out all different stuff.
