How about you make a pixel art skin? Like maybe Start off easy with a heart or a pencil or maybe try something harder like an animal? You should start off easy and take things slowly! I am sure you will be big some day ;3

I would try different shading technics on your skin. You could start at making simple skins then adding bit and pieces to it. An idea you could make for a skin is a kawaii wolf c:

You could practice shading the hair and make a couple of bases. And then make skins using them. Also, if you enter a contest then that will get you skins in when you don't know what else to do.
