Well this happens to me but, I recommend putting the plain dark color then the slightly dark one then the normal and like that, but not all at a time. If you are making all at a time just do z (darken color) or x (lighten color).

So, heres what wrong. For my bases, I use the tool that copies colors a lot. But, once I use it, and I try to place down the color, the color changes very slightly but you can just tell its not the right color. Its making it so hard to make bases!!! So now, when I want to make a skin, I have to use that color only once, not mess up, and put it everywhere I need it! It is so annoying! I kept messing up, so I keep on having to restart.
