if you edit just the eyes or small details, it isnt yours. it never will be honestly, because your still stealing someones skin. I find using someones shading is fine, but only with giving credit. No kind of stealing is OK and never will be.

Also, master, i edit skins sometimes just on the eyes or add some blood or little details. :) I see nothing wrong with it, because since you edited it its yours now. But yes, i agree also, it is illegal. If she did upload it how it was originally, i would be shocked and angry. But she didn't. If she asked the original skin maker if she could use it/edit it, its fine.
