I changed my mind and I'm writing the second half of Chapter 1 in a different skin lol.

"Are you okay?" Scarlet asked. "I saw Tide walk out without you." She paused. "Bad training again?"

~ Dead is better than tortured. ~ Shade thought angrily as Scarlet Moon rushed in the cave.

Tide loomed over her. "Get up." He snarled. "You'd be dead in battle." And he stalked out of the cave.

"NO!" Tide roared. "You fight ME!" He slammed his claws on the side of her head. Shade crumpled to the floor holding her temples. ~ Maybe if I just stayed limp, he would think I'm to useless to train ~ She thought stubbornly.

Shade slowly stood up. "Can't I fight Scarlet instead?" She asked hopefully. She always lost to Tide. He was so much bigger and stronger that in the end, Shade ended up limping or unconscious.

Shade leaped up over hid head and sank her teeth into his tail. He growled and grabbed her neck and threw her to the side.

Tide suddenly whacked her head with his giant tail. Water dragons like him were made bulkier. So their tails hurt a lot more.
