... My mother gently touched the cut with the cloth. It burned really badly. After a minute or two of constantly lightly dabbing the cut with the cloth, she put a large band-ade on the wound. She looked me in the eyes, "Aurelia, if you ever get another cut like that, just use a small cloth and alcohol to clean it. Than cover it up with what ever you can so it doesnt get infected. Can you remember that?" I nodded as a river of tears ran down my cheeks'... I closed my eyes. It felt as if I had touched hot metal to my skin. The pain made my hand turn blood red. I quietly set down the cloth and reached back into my bag. I pulled out another piece of cloth and a roll of duct tape. I wrapped the gun shot wound in cloth than duct taped the cloth to my arm. It didnt hurt as bad anymore. But I knew that it would take a longer time for it to heal. I wiped away a few tears and stood up...
I walked over to the dead man. A bullet had gone straight into his forehead. I grabbed his bag that was slung over his shoulder and looked inside. I sighed, there was more food, a water bottle, a first aid kit, and a few shotgun shells. I put all of his belongings in my bag and walked over to pick up his shotgun. I stuffed it in my bag and took a sip of water. I looked over at the sun, it was about half way in the sky. I slung my bag over my shoulder and continued to walk down the deserted road...

... 'I sat there with my mother at the dinner table. She held a small white cloth that was filled with alcohol. I held on to my leg like my life depended on it. "Aurelia, let me see the cut." my mother sighed. A tear ran down my cheek as I removed my hand away from a terrible cut on my leg. I had gone running with my father that morning. About half way through the run, I tripped on a twig and fell to the ground and ripped my knee up on a small rock..
