Qyliaea's POV: A rustling in the brush caught my attention. I glanced over to see an odd looking man standing there. He had a long, white beard and hair the color of snow. Bright blue flowers were entwined in it. He wore long, green and brown robes, and he appeared to glide over the grass."Who are you?"I asked, gripping the skull on my necklace. He didn't answer, but studied Kenzel as if she were a new species of animal. "Come with me,"he said, picking us Kenzel. "I'll heal her." NEXT CHAPTER

Qyliaea's POV: I blinked tears out of my eyes. Rivershadow was licking Kenzel frantically. She shuddered and opened her eyes, but they closed almost immediately. "We need to get help NOW!"I cried. "Yes,"Rivershadow whispered,"But where?" I started to sob as I watched the life slowly drain from my friend. I had just barely gotten to know her, and then this.

Kaitlyn's POV: Rivershadow rushed to Kenzel's side, but Qyliaea and I stood under the light, frozen with fear. We finally mustered up the courage and cautiously walked toward Kenzel. Her breathing was shallow, but I forced myself to look at her arm. Scarlet blood was streaming out of the long gash, dripping onto the ground. Her beautiful face was deathly pale. The cut in her arm had a sickly shade of green around it.

Kaitlyn's POV: I started to panic. Where was Kenzel? I turned to see a flash of silver light, then another flash, as bright as the sun, yet mysterious and beautiful as the moon. Kenzel fell out of the bushes, looking greatly weakened and very tired. "Kenzel!"Rivershadow barked. "Are you okay?!" Kenzel was about to answer, but she collapsed, her slim, tall body hitting the forest floor with a sickening crunch.
