Elias Mercer was called “Split” as a kid, bullied for his shifting personality caused by two clashing voices in his mind and one calm and logical, the other angry and impulsive, no amount of therapy ever truly reconciled them, so he turned to engineering to make sense of his chaos. As an adult, he embraced his duality by building a powerful armored suit split down the middle, one side blue for precision and control, the other red for destruction and power, and under the name Split he first walked the line between hero and vigilante before his buried resentment took over, transforming him into a villain who believed the world deserved to feel the same conflict that had defined his entire life.
