yeah, some of them make good content, but no one does things like Adventure Maps or make skits for Mod reviews anymore.
it's all speedruns and brainrot and SMPs
and i do like the SMPs
like Hermitcraft, the Life series, Life Steal, Empires, and ones like that
and some of the older YTers are still around but their content is crap now, like Aphmau.
i LOVED her My Inner Demons series, but she doesn't do that stuff now. just whatever's popular. and it's very immature. i checked one of her videos recently and literally like several times in the video, the characters randomly started doing exaggerated twerking for no reason. just because apparently that's "funny"
There are also some really good newer Mctv's out there as well. Like "alux rising" "freak show" "Wishbrook resort" "Timeless fate" "Camp karma" "Shattered emotions" "Quins lie" "pandemonium" "Akeria" and a bunch of others.

Aphmou actually is making Mystreet S7 and 8 rn, planning to release it later this year, I think?

And as for the mod review skits, I completely understand, and I even go so far as to have a series I'm working on (for yt) called MysteryQuest, which goes over add-ons and stuff (on bedrock bc it's desaturated content-wise with this kind of thing) in the same skit-like style.

That's partially why I haven't posted anything on my channel since I've been facing a lot of roadblocks with this series I'm trying to make.

though i understand, most of them are now married and even have kids. they gotta move on with their lives
