No lights are shining down the hall
Hopefully tonight, no one will fall
For Death creeps closer, inch by inch,
Puts you to sleep with one sharp pinch.

Moonlight strikes right through the wall
As Death creeps closer, with a sharp call,
The crows come, so suddenly,
That one of us will no longer see.

Lightning crackles within these walls
As Death creeps closer, about to maul,
A light appears, so fragile and small,
Emanating from a lantern, Death’s only wall

Lantern-bearer, so, so, bright,
Come save us from Death tonight
Lantern-bearer, be the one
To strike down Death and rejoice with us

Lantern-bearer, take one strike,
To save us from Death tonight

To rejoice in survival, and rise above.
