Chapter 1

Many stories begin by telling you the setting or characters, I plan to begin the story with both. This tale begins on the planet Earth-ZG9n, city Chein, at a small home, where a child, Dominick, is playing with his dog, Brian, when this story starts to unfold. “Come on, Brian!” The child begged his dog. “Speak! I know you can do it!” “Woof,” the dog teased. He could speak, but Brian didn’t want Dominick to know. It was his secret. To be true, all the animals on that planet could speak, but didn’t want their owners to know. They wanted to stay alive. “Come on, come on, come on wittle puppy, I know you can do it!” Ugh, the baby voice. Brian’s worst nightmare. He got down from the coach, and walked away. “Aw man, that usually works.” Brian scoffed, and looked at him. He motioned with his head for Dominick’s room. Brian walked over toward the door, and pushed it open. Dominick followed suit. “Okay,” Dominick mused. “What is it?” “Stop.” Y-y-you can talk!” “No I can’t. This is all a dream.” “My clock says it’s 11:44 am, and I would know if I’m dreaming.” “Look, I can talk, but don’t tell your mom, grandma, or grandpa, but he wouldn’t care anyway.” “What is it?”
