last night i had such an awful dream

my cat (he's entirely indoor & if he went outside he'd get run over </3) had gone outside and was running around outside and i kept calling him inside but he kept running away from me, and then he ran around some sort of event that was happening at the park by my house and somehow got into an arcade (there isn't an arcade within like 30 miles of my house lol) and i couldn't find him and he just wouldn't come back. it was awful cuz i spent the whole time chasing after him and usually he came when i called him, but he didn't, and i never found him </3

and then i woke up and my cat was in his crate sleeping and everything was okay.

i've had some awful dreams in the past (nightmares are absolutely terrifying); and the best part about it is waking up and then realizing that it's not real.
you're ok.
you're not in danger.
your cat has not just run away.
everything's ok, and you're safe in your bed and it's like 1 am and you still have some hours of sleep left before school.

that is the best feeling in the world.

i hope you can share this feeling <3

thank God for waking up from nightmares.

i know exactly how that feels, and yeah, the nightmares suck ;-; but i agree, the feeling of waking up is so comforting and relieving

i've had a similar dream, where i was forced to kill my cat. but then i woke up and she was sleeping right next to me

the dreams themselves are awful, but the realization that none of it's real, none of it could ever be real, everything is okay, everything is normal, is the greatest sense of relief. it makes me almost wonder if maybe, the nightmares are there to remind us of what we have, to be grateful for?
and then maybe in the grand scheme of things, the nightmares are a good thing
Aww, poor fizzee!
