Cracked Orb

Artist's Notes: I have absolutely no idea what I was cooking here! I just honestly wanted to make an abstract mismatch of both recognizable and unfamiliar things, giving it jeans and a tanktop but with an unidentifiable carapace-like cracked plating covering its arms and a cracked glass orb for a head. I primarly pulled inspiration from the item "Cracked Orb" from The Binding of Isaac Repentence, hence the skin's name! It's not really generally appealing, but it was fun to make and it gave me some good practice with textures (especially jeans! I've never drawn any before, they're super tricky but I think they turned out alright.)

This was made for the Blue Jam, using a monochromatic desaturated palette of 6 shades of blue. I sort of regret not using more colors, since the arms blend into the pants if turned at a certain angle, but I'm otherwise happy with how it turned out! This was a fun practice overall with using colors to show depth and texture, and I'm extremely thankful that I was able to particiapte! :D
