so i've been looking for ways to subtly improve my shading style :>

i like my style now, especially my hair shading, but I kinda want a more dramatic look.

from the start, I always wanted to be able to make skins similar to these styles:
https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/23429787/----delilah/
https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/23233257/vampire----finished-trade/
https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/22468235/caramel-waterfalls-----ce/

while i feel like im slowly getting there, im stuck on what to do to continue the path to get there :|

(note to skinners: i'm not trying to take ur style, I js want the blurred shading and crazy hue-shifting effect if ykwim, and ur style is a great example of this)!

so basically i want to find a way to alter some parts of my current shading and create something similar like that, i promise once again, im not trying to take parts of anyones shading and call it my own

any comments down here that would reccomend what i could add or change would be helpful or it doesn't rlly have to be related to that, js what u guys think i could do to elevate my skins would be great :>

tysm!

Omg girl sameeeee those skins are very similar to my dream style XD

One thing I notice sometimes with your skins is that you soft tint them. This means your colors are saturated but slightly too bright, which causes your skin to look somewhat soft or pastel. The skins you have for examples don't have that so I'm assuming that's one thing you'd like to change.

To change it try making your colors a bit darker (putting the dot closer to the middle/bottom of the square in the editor, I hope that makes sense) That and making your shading more intense is another difference I see. So make your hueshifting DRAMATIC, like yellow to purple within three shades. Often times with skins in order for me to get crazy hueshifting I have to make it more intense than what I think is right.

Important note for making the colors darker: don't move it from left to right, your saturation is already scrumptious, and that won't get rid of the soft tint do up and down for lighter and darker.

I forget that sometimes I don't make sense XD
Same thing goes for just shading in itself; go bigger than you think.

I can't really think of anything else, you already have the same shading pattern (again, hope that makes sense), and have a really unique hair shading.

I struggle with these things too, so I understand where you're coming from. At the end of the day, though, as long as you enjoy your style and are happy with it, then whatever style gives you that is your best style. So whatever you're happy with is enough <3

I wish you good luck and good rest of your day!
