oh and yes i totally get what you mean about the website feeling dead

i remember coming back from my long break and the vibe was just so different...like there's definitely still a community on here but it feels empty in a weird way

i think it's the amount of people who have quit in recent years

tbh i don't know what performs well here...it feels like it's up to being lucky that people are online to like your skins when you post them. that's why i usually post at the same times every day and have those times in my bio. it's in the hopes that they come back to my profile the next day and like my newest skin(s)

there's been skins i've posted where they get a good amount of likes and i wonder why because they're not particularily special/trendy

i feel like that skin is much more early 2020s era yet it's been floating around #35 on namemc's weekly trending skins for a few days so idk what to think ;-;

but yeah i try to blend trends and my own style to get the best of both worlds

my thing used to be emo namemc sweat type skins
ive slowly shifted into trying a more brighter “trendy” style, since i thought those performed better on here
but it seems they don’t as much anymore haha

yeah i usually just tag all my skins with aesthetic and cute in the hopes that that will make it reach a wider audience ;-; i should probably consider other tags though, because this skin isn't really what people think of when they think aesthetic or cute

i check namemc a lot for inspo and the vibe has definitely changed over the years...

i'm frequently unsure what to do with my style because more people will wear my skins if i follow trends, but i also want to do my own thing a lot of the time sooo yeah :/
