hey gang! as pride month comes to a close, i wanted to share a bit about my own experience

pride this year is actually very special for me, as this is the first pride i'm celebrating as myself. i was stuck in the closet for several years for my safety, but it absolutely destroyed me. pride seemed bittersweet every year, because i was trapped and unable to become the person i wanted to be.

but all of that is different now. i'm starting my own life, as my own person, and i'm lucky enough to live in an area where gender-affirming healthcare is easily accessible. my future is bright, because i fought to make sure i would be here for it.

so to all my LGBTQ+ family out there, whether you're out, in the closet, or still figuring it out: your life is precious, and you deserve to see the future you dreamed of.
