The Old Books say that when the Original Creator made his world he filled it with secrets and oddities meant to be found by his beloved creations, but the Steves he had made so far hadn't shown much interest in exploring this world he had made for them. He chose to make the Red Steves then for that purpose, to explore and catalog this world.
