peter garrett is an australian devout christian. in 1972 Peter Garrett, Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie, Peter Gifford, and Martin Rotsey formed the band farm but in 1973 they changed to midnight oil. peter garrett was the lead singer for them from 1973 to 2002 were he departed from the band to focus on his political carree were he was Minister for the Environment and Water of Australia he is still alive to this day. (i am australian midnight oil is my favourite band so i thought why not) their most sucssesful song is beds are burning from diesel and dust published in 1987 but although it is amazing my personal favorite is short memory from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 made in 1982 enjoy
