hey all! this isn't fun for me to write.

since tuesday evening, i've had a very nasty cough and a high fever. my little brother had the same, although his fever went down very quickly while mine is still lingering. the coughing got so bad to the point that i couldn't talk and had severe difficulty breathing on account of my throat being utterly raw. on top of that, i've been extremely weak and mostly confined to bed, and unable to sleep for the past two nights.
now, my fever broke last night, so i'll hopefully be better soon, but. this morning i discovered a large and really, REALLY painful lump on my lower back. i'd been able to feel it for the past few days, but i just thought it was a bruise from sitting so awkwardly. my mom dismissed it even after i begged her to take me to the doctor, but now i've found a SECOND lump, on the inside of my right leg, which is just as painful.
while these lumps could be benign, and we're hoping it's just swollen lymph nodes, there is a chance it could be cancer.
if my mom still refuses to take me to the hospital tomorrow, i'll likely end up driving myself because this is actually very concerning.
