Today's verse is 1 Peter 3:9. It says,

"Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."

It's kind of like if someone calls you a name, you shouldn't call them one back. That's not the whole story, but that's what the first sentence is about.
