hey :D
this is a tutorial on how to do basic hair shading
step 1, 2, and 3 for the shadows are on the front of the skin, along with two examples for hair on the front of the body (the left is a braid and the right is just normal)

when youre shading a color, hueshifting is essential for the shading to really pop. heres how:
step 1. take your starting color
step 2. slightly darken it, this helps it become a shadow. i would NOT recommend using the darken/lighten color tools
step 3. slightly move the color on the spectrum towards a warmer color, this helps it pop. pink works best
step 4. finally, shift the hue SLIGHTLY towards gray, this helps it not look flat

there are examples for hueshifting hair colors on the back of the skin in this order
- strawberry blonde
- black
- brunette
- blonde
- dirty blonde
- gray
- redhead
- white (surrounded by black so it doesnt blend with the background)
- light brown (used as the shading example on the front)
- burgundy
- auburn
you dont have to use these specific colors, get creative!
i hope the lesson helped
