A tiny ember on the bark.
Then as a gentle breeze passes by,
The smoke starts to dance awry.
Then, no longer concealed,
Your true beauty is unleashed.
Elegant whips of heat twist and turn,
Anything it sees it chars and burns.
Engulfing the grass, the sky the sea,
Calling out it’s crackling plea.
Rising into the smoke above,
Your flames fly like a dove.
Then as the sun rises in the east,
The army of flames is at its least.
Once again embers in the dirt,
Weak little sparks sputter and spurt.
Slowly, steadily dying down,
Your beauty has ruined this town.
