Here's a few tips: Use a website that allows you to save colors on the side (so you don't have to continually use the eye dropper). I would also recommend blending colors by either using an auto shading feature or doing it manually, just so that you don't have a bunch of the same color touching itself. Lastly, go for unique skins or take a new spin on an old skin. You may also be able to get away with creating one that's just better than any current ones of it's kind. Most importantly, be patient! Making really cool skins won't happen in a matter of minutes.
