deltarune is absolutely FIREEE. im so excited for the next chapters to come out, bc the last 2 have been absolute bangers. also, I WISH the undertale AUs were still as big as they were back then. the mainline ones had so much though and effort put in it was wild.

do you think deltarune is a good thing?

well, i still have so much appreciation for undertale-toby is incredibly talented! the music and characters are some of the best in indie gaming. the undertale AUs were huge, so I think the fanbase could return, especially with deltarune. but i'm not sure if that’s a good thing since deltarune feels long and complicated compared to undertale's simplicity.

it’s similar to how alex hirsch released the Book of Bill to enhance the lore of Gravity Falls without overshadowing it. i think that’s a much smarter move than trying to top something that was already so well received. even if Undertale isn't as talked about, i doubt it’s been forgotten. i’m excited to see what toby creates next. we can only hope that whatever toby creates next lives up to his legacy.

undertale is legit one of the best indie games to date like omg ??? plus toby got so many opportunities from it; he's literally composing for NINTENDO now?????? one of the best pieces of media from recent times and NOBODY talks abt it anymore
