~A Wizard's Apprentice, P9~ (Desc)

"You have a brown mushroom?" I asked, surprised that the Wandering Trader had what I was looking for.
"Indeed I do! And you may have it, for the right price. What do you say about 10 emeralds?"
"10?" I said. "That seems a bit much."
"I promise you, this is the best brown mushroom you'll ever see. 10 emeralds."
I thought for a minute.
"Deal." I said.
I've been told before that I'm naive. I've also been told that I'm too trusting, That it could get me in trouble. But where else was I gonna get a brown mushroom?
"And What a good deal it is too!"
The Trader handed me the mushroom and snatched the emeralds from my hand and counted them.
"Oh, looks like you're just three short. . ." he looked up at me expectantly.
"I was fairly sure I gave you 10," I replied.
"Hm, there's 7 here."
I gave him the other three and put the mushroom away safely.
"Thank you." I said, starting again in the direction of WhiteCliff.
"Oh, of course!" The Trader called, who hurried on his way.
I continued on west, the city getting bigger as I got closer. The walls stretched up high, though the castle and village were visible. The gate was open, welcoming people in for the day.
