CHAPTER 2 One year had passed since the harrowing events with Demon Steve. We stood gathered, somber and mournful, attending Time Steve's funeral. His loss weighed heavily upon us, which was a stark reminder of why we fight to destroy the darkness. Demon Steve had taken Time Steve from us, and it had taken us far too long to find his body. A tear escaped my eye, mingling with the rain that fell from the gray sky above. Beside me, Alex stood silent, her grief palpable in the air. But amidst the sorrow, I felt a powerful aura behind me, a presence that seemed to pulse with energy and light. Curious, I turned to see a mysterious figure standing at the edge of the gathering, their hood pulled low over their face. The only visible part of their body was their hands, which seemed to emit a gentle glow. As the funeral came to an end and the mourners began to disperse, the figure approached me, their steps light and purposeful. "I know who you both are, A and Alex," the figure said, their voice calm yet commanding. "And I need your help defeating Demon Steve." He then took down his hood. This figure was Light Steve.
