I don't believe in a dead God; I believe in a God who created the world, and who made people for a purpose.
Some may have bad experiences of God, perhaps
by someone who meant well, but gave you unsatisfying religion; just remember, God
gave this world to us to care for, and because of the curse of sin, it is a fallen world. That does not mean God is ignoring the problems. Man chose the fallen world. Religion is not who God is. He is a loving God, the Perfect Father. He would love to work through people to make this world better, but it is your own personal choice
to make if you want Him to work through you.
I celebrate Easter as a day to reflect what God has done for us; not so much as a holiday or anything special really, because nothing is as special as God's unending love.

Yes, and also when they view God as and angry, vindicative god instead of a loving Father, if that makes sense.
That is the basis of religion. Religion is just man-made rules with a lot of judgment and 'oh, because you did this and this, you're going to hell!'. :(
