~A Wizard's Apprentice, P7~ (DESC)

Remember that assumption that I wouldn't get lost? Well, that went out the window. Within 20 minutes, I was turned around and extremely lost. I tried to keep the sun behind me, but several times, I found it to my left or right.
The sp**** trees throughout the grassland gave me a small advantage when I climbed them, but eventually, they did nothing, because the forest to the east had slipped over the horizon, giving me no land marks whatsoever.
I had dried off by now, and the cold had gone away with the night, but the realization of being lost made me feel colder than I had ever been--with the exception of finding out that my old wizard master had been evil.
I felt the fear rising inside me as I looked out over the infinite grassland. I knew which way was west, the general direction of the medieval city, but that wasn't a big problem. The problem would be the monsters and Phantoms the night following.
I took a deep breath.
"You're ok." I told myself. "You're ok. You just need to. . ."
My eyes caught on something in the grasslands running southwest and northeast. It looked like an opening in the grasses.
I walked over and took a closer look.
I was overcome with relief.
