“Depends.” He responded. “There’s a high chance of it being contaminated with the disease. Unless you have a good filtering stomach. Yes.” Karolu said, half joking. Trixy chuckled slightly. It felt as if life would get better from now on.

Then they finally reached it, an abandoned fishing dock on the lake. Climbing over the fence, he watched as Trixy climbed over in ease. Must be nice, being a beastling. He thought. Trixy bent over the water, and asked. “Is this safe to drink?”

“Oh,” Trixina said, ears slightly titled. “Sorry.” He shrugged it off and continued walking, he could tell Trixy was scared. Not sure of what though. He pondered questions about her as they walked.

“It’s Karolu.” He said, not looking away from the path. “Watch out-“ he said, blocking her from bumping her head into a branch. Damn, does she have any survival skills? No wonder she can’t survive on her own.

He winced, taking a step back. “You’re a beastling, right?” Trixina looked down. “Oh uh- yeah, I guess.” Karolu shoke his head. “Whatever, we need to get going before more plagued’s arrive. Come.” He gestured for her to come, safe where they won’t find them. Halfway through the walk, the beastling decided to perk up some conversation, he’d guess. “So?? what’s your name?”
