The cold river water rushed around me, burning my wings and antennae. I pushed to the surface, gasping for breath.
The current wasn't strong, thankfully, but I still hardly knew how to swim. The water swept me downstream for about a quarter mile (.41 kilometers) before I made it to the riverbank, coughing up the water that had poured into my lungs.
The sun was peeking up above the the horizon, the Phantoms were gone, and I was soaking wet.
I stood up and started walking again, the sun at my back, westward, to WhiteCliff.
My wet cloths clung to skin.
I began to shiver in the early spring morning. Warmth would come as the sun rose, but that would take an hour or two, and the forest blocked most of the sunlight that the sun brought.
I walked on for another hour before I reached the edge of the forest and in front of me lay miles of grassland.
The Abandoned Plateau.
WhiteCliff was on the other side of the grassland, perched on cliffs that fell into the ocean--The Blue Abyss.
I was closer, but I still had a long journey ahead of me. It would be noon by the time I got there, assuming I didn't get lost.
"Well? What are you waiting for?" I asked myself, and started on once again
