Martin Li soon fell victim to an incurable illness and began to feel hopeless. His dream of running FEAST would slowly come to an end and he did not want this to happen. He went to Norman Osborn who himself was working on a cure for an incurable illness himself who wanted to use Li to test out one of his earlier samples of the G Serum. This experiment soon went horrifically wrong leaving Li deformed and different. This experiment had given him unique abilities such as being able to control the minds of others. This mind warping ability of his however would soon warp his own mind and his entire perspective of life. He had his ambitions the same as before but now his ways to executing said ambition became far more twisted and evil, wanting to eradicate all criminals with unrelenting fury and became something of what he considered a vigilante, with his primary focus being on the man that caused his suffering.
