If there's one thing I remember about this year it was the weather! First we got crazy amounts of rain that nearly flooded the whole city centre, and then only about a month later, we had the worst cold wave in about 30 years. Pipes froze up and many people could only drink bottled water. It was also really hard to get anywhere with all the ice. I think spring and summer were normal enough, but there was the Eyjafjallajokull eruption that grounded flights across Europe for like a week.
