For a long time Project 07 was still called Project 07 since he had no name. One day he and Sonic were taking a walk when they saw a Heritage Railroad with a Steam Locomotive running, Project 07 had always liked Mechanical Objects and very much so Steam engines and the Railroads but Eggman was never interested in that part of him. As a joke Sonic said “C'mon Steam lets go”, and Project 07 liked that name so the Two of them decided that Project 07 name would be Steam, Steam the Hedgehog.
