Boones is a therianthrope skeleton whose soul befriended Caverra's in the afterlife. John's undead skeleton is Caverra's travel companion. John's animal form is a leopard, hence the tail, claws, and fangs.

A therianthrope in my fantasy world is a humanoid that can switch between one animal and one human form. Therianthropes are actual beings in mythology, not my creation, but I changed the lore slightly for the world I'm making up.
