Hey, its gen and green.

When we returned from our break we created a newsletter and mentioned skintober in one of our events. Replying to this post (at some of the wordings about crediting her user) she said, and I quote, "i don't think credit is "good enough," that makes it seem like i'm fine with people stealing my event. it's more like...i have no power to actually stop people stealing so the least they can do when they decide to steal is to credit. i still strongly dislike people stealing the event. there's just nothing i can actually do about it."

After hearing this we reached out for an interview asking if we could 'bring the truth out' for skintober.

As our interview does not fit in this description please check the comments 'sort by oldest'.

I didn't know that @Fawne has developed a literal trauma from her own event. I feel horrible for joining in on the annual event this year. I honestly didn't know that it was supposed to be hosted by this creator with a prompt list that everyone uses as a whole. I'm going to compete in that Skintober Bingo now.

Sadly, still using the Skintober name will perpetuate the idea that it's something it's not and will be just as confusing. People will still assume Skintober is a holiday and a daily prompt list.

What people could do, if they really need a label, is just say they're doing Inktober. They wouldn't even have to credit me at all, as they're two separate events. And pixel art is art, so it's a valid medium for Inktober imo.
true- i think that if someone is using a prompt list then they could just say its inktober, and if theyre doing the bingo then they just put skintober :D

that could actually work :o the creator said that its hard to try to find related skins with the same tag since there are so many unrelated ones, so if anyones doing the prompt list then they could add some letters or maybe numbers like skinntober1 or smth like that. that way no one gets confused on whos doing the bingo, and whos doing the old prompt list
