At first I wanted to make a redesign of the Starlit Hunting armour set from the game Spiral Knights, however I realized upon closer examination that the armour has an exceptionally lazy design and I began to take issue with the poor representation of its theme.

So I changed my mind and made this instead, taking inspiration from the game Toukiden 2 and its Karakuri (or Machina in the translation). Pairing with this I went with a darker colour palette, and threw ideas at the wall until I decided "good enough".
