idk how to feel

hi, so- recently ive been thinking about leaving skindex, i probably wont though. I'm just tired of changing my style all the time and sometimes i work really hard on skins for them to get 5 likes. and i know numbers don't matter, but, it feels good for somebody to like your work that you spent a lot of time on. also I've been doing skindex for 2 years, and have seen a lot of new people join, (which is great!) but i guess it makes me a bit sad seeing people grow faster than me since I've been doing this for a long time. don't get me wrong they all deserve it, its just i feel like my hard work doesn't pay off. sorry if i came off rude i don't mean it at all! so for now i think I'm going on a break, and any tips for me to stop feeling this way? thanks! :)

i understand exactly what you mean! Its like sure they do deserve it for their hard work, but it makes you feel sad because all your hard work isn't getting as appreciated as the other person's.

oh my gosh i love your skins like every time i go to your profile its like b o o m you definitely deserve more support
and like i totally agree people join with their "this is my first ever skin i hope you like it!" that ends up staying on the top for three weeks and gets 300 likes because its actually really good and then that person gets like 100 followers the next day and people are still like "OH MY GOSH YOURE SO UNDERRATED" but like- yes its a cool skin but im sorry that cant be your "first EVER skin", thats not possible
maybe its their first UPLOAD but like theres a difference between first upload and first skin, also they are NOT underrated!
ive been making skins for like 3 years but ive been uploading for under a year and honestly i wouldnt consider myself underrated, in fact even-
-overrated in a way, not trying to be humble or anything just stating what i actually think is the truth
and then theres people like you who are TRULY underrated, you have AMAZING SKINS better than mine and still youre- somehow less popular?? thats not fair

bry your skins are so much better then you think they are! there SO SO good. ik watching other people grow faster is very very annoying sometimes, but thats ok! take a break as long as you need too. you are so so awesome! dont push you self and come back when your ready. but its also okay if you feel like you need to leave skindex. but I encourage you too keep going so i can continue to see you WONDERFUL AWESOME BEAUTIFUL AMAZING skins <3

Yeah seeing people grow faster than you is really, REALLY tough, especially when they've only been on for a few days/weeks AND people still call them underrated! It took me five months to get to 10 followers. Getting to 100 took me a year. 500 took me two years. And yet I see some people get to 1K in (much) less than a year.
I now have 622 followers, and my profile has 40 pages, which means I've now made over 800 skins. So I don't even get one follower per skin!
But I keep going, because still enjoy making skins, and seeing people comment on them, even if it's just the usual one or two.

Your skins are amazing!! Just because some don't have a lot of likes doesn't mean people don't see and use them! Taking a break can help to get back some motivation, but please don't leave. <3

also, i want to add that im very grateful. it means the world that anyone would follow or like any of my skins!! i hope somebody understands how I'm feeling though
