so tos is basically a goner (keeps dying), and I’ve had this idea for over 1 month so I’m starting it now.

this is just the signups skin, real rp skin will be posted once there’s enough people.

this is also a kingdoms/magic rp.
storyline is below (v), and the rest of the info is in the comments. don’t comment until I say so.

[ BASIC STORYLINE ]

You find yourself, lost, in a seemingly new world, with no recollection of where you are.. or who you are. Among you are many other strangers, who appear to be in the same boat as you. Now with your new-found friends (or acquaintances.. whatever you’d like to call them), you must work together, through thick and thin and across your new surroundings, to uncover the six gems of solitude that may give you the answers you have been seeking from the very start, and to bring complete peace to the world. However, doing all this will not be an easy feat as no one truly knows where these gems are, or how to save the world from dark peril..

(Chromatic (formerly Cheezy) told me on Discord today that they won't be coming back and we can take control of Atlas.

Choc, meanwhile, said she may come back eventually, but also told me we could take control of her characters anyway.

So now the question is who will play which characters.)
(It sort of depends on whether case wants to take on some or not.

If he doesn't, this is what I propose.

Me: Atlas, Evan, Elle

eclipse: August, Emmeline, Evelyn

Also, here's is an idea I have for the other inactive writers' characters

Me: Kate, Seth, Thiera, Avinella

eclipse: Kyra, Kion, Cecil

Another idea is for us to BOTH play Kion and Cecil, as confusing as that sounds.

But in both cases that's just my suggestion. If there are any characters you'd especially like to take, don't hesitate to tell me.

The only rule is I'm not playing both August and Atlas, as if I did, that would mean I'd be writing the whole Lummox scene all by myself.)

(I think the next time I progress the Lummox scene, I'm going to take control of Atlas. I've messaged the person who plays him several times about them coming back, and they never responded. I think that mean it's fair to say they're never coming back, and while you can sort of get away with pretending Kion and Cecil don't exist for the Bloomdale scene, you can't really do that for Altas in the Lummox scene)

Kevin Longbolt: A young wizard who was exiled from Lummox because of his evil parents. He aims undo his bad reputation by using his electricity based magic for good.

Nestor Waverton: A navigator of Meriki descent. He's also an expert on weather.

Lucian Moorbluff: Childhood friend of Nestor, he's a trader of Meriki descent who transports... things... across the ocean from Alcazar to Bloomdale. He makes a lot of jokes.

Sharlynn Umbrandt: A girl with ancestry from Xylem and Lummox, living in Bloomdale. She's the group's guide, and will be taking them into the interior of Bloondalr and up the mountains.)
(WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW

As mentioned previously, the gang is in Redwood sound, and they're getting ready to travel across Bloomdale. First they went to get bags, but of course Cal has his own backpack already.
Then they got flower corwns and other similar accessories. I gave Cal a flower crown in his favourite shade of blue, plus a few flower pins on his backpack.
Then after that, they got coats and other gear for cold weather. I mentioned that Cal has a coat, but left it ambiguous as to whether he got a new one, or just had one before anyway.
Note: they're not actually wearing the coats and gloves yet, they jsut have them lol.)

(More about the main cast

A whole bunch of new characters joined in Alcazar. Here's a brief summary of them:

Everly Heathcliff: Alston's older sister, thought to be dead. She's a bit like a less cynical version of her brother, and best friends with Hayley

Crimson Driscoll: Alston's childhood "friend" who is sort of his mortal enemy at the same time. It's complicated lol.

Daisy Carmine: A rather energetic girl who drives Alston absolutely crazy.

Hayley Newbrook: A girl who was left to fend for herself from a young age. Her personality is similar to Everly's, so unsurprisingly she's her best friend, along with Kevin.)

1: The main gang, which has at least doubled in size after so many people joined them from Alcazar. They got the red gem in Alcazar and right now they're at Redwood Sound, a port town on the west coast of Bloomdale. Since Cal is in this, I'll be giving so more context later

2: Kion and Cecil (who is no longer evil), who are currently near the top of Bloomdale's tallest mountain. They're joined by Michael's siblings, his mother (yes, seriously), and two other adventurers they met on their way up

3: Michael, Atlas, and August, who are still at the Nightrun's mansion. Atlas' leg has healed, but they can't really go that far until the rest of the gang returns anyway.)

(Yeah, i do see where you’re going with this, and I’d hate to have to keep pretending that they’re there and/or like npcs just because we’ve lost pretty much everyone we had a year ago.

However, I’ll admit that I have not used other people’s characters in my writing in over four years now, but even still, that was a different situation. It might be a little uncomfortable using other people’s characters since *technically* we didn’t ask for their permission to do so, but it’s better than just continuously dragging along “npcs” who don’t say or do anything the entire time.

Uh.. I suppose we could try this out and see if it works. After all, this is one way to speed up certain scenes immensely, but it may still be odd to do so at first.)

(After I gave a bunch of characters flowers last night, it got me thinking.

Some of the old characters are pretty interesting, and I feel like it would be a shame if they never feature in the story again because their writers probably haven't even been on this site since the start of 2024.
I'm genuinely not exaggerating, go to their profiles.

So with that in mind, what do you think about the remaining three participants taking on their roles?
Here's how I'd divide it:

Me: Calaway, Katelinn, Seth, Atlas
eclipse: Kyra, Kion, Cecil
Choc: Thiera, Avinella

Alternatively, since Choc is often unavailable, one of the other two could play the violinist and dancer instead.)
