even my mother thinks hes acting differently. even AFTER his dads death he wasn't like this. in fact, that was the closest i think we've ever even been (we hugged each other for the first time lol-). we talked forever and were just... well... children? children being friends? i couldnt really see the big issue, and now he TALKS weird. i just want to know what happened. i think i'll ask him if we both get into the smart kid classes (we both did last year) or i'll write it in a letter (we used to write letters to each other when covid happened). i just want to know what happened to my best friend. he knows more about me than literally ANYBODY does, and he made me promise something that breaks my heart to think about qvq

what he made me promise wasn't something you tell someone you are about to ditch. you tell someone that after you believe you will be friends for life. you tell someone that when you trust them. i doubt he asked either of our mutual male friends, or even his siblings, or even his MOTHER. i truly do believe he only made me promise.
so i dont get it. i dont get what changed in him, even from after the death. after the death, we went to the fair together and talked. he made me promise something to him, and even if it kills me i will keep that promise. because, after all thats happened, i still love this boy.

i had to go to a picnic for my shooting club (yes, as in rifles and pistols lol) and he was there. at first he pranced up to my car and went 'oh its the animemobile!' because we have anime stickers on there from the previous owner (ive begged my mum to take them off, she refuses because they are 'cute') and then he proceeded to walk me to the building to drop off my fruit. normally, however, he would have walked me inside and talked to me, but he just told me that the other kids were playing golf and then went over to play golf. thennn i put the fruit inside of the building and ran to my mother, who was in the car, to ask if she wanted food. she declined and then we started talking. then the coach announced that the awards ceremony was starting. we got inside (after i DRAGGED
