- Charlotte walks down from Kana's room and to her room.

- Uh oh..

- Anyways, Kana was still sleeping at this time-

- Jenny answers

- Jenny: “Esme Van De Lune’s estate, how can I help you?”

- Charlotte: “Was Kana Raine there today?”

- Jenny: “Yes. Kana was Mlle. Van De Lune’s temporary dog-walker today, How else may I assist you?

- Charlotte: “That won’t be necescarry”

- Jenny traces Charlotte’s address to Kana’s house.

- Jenny: “Oh. That’s the mother.”

- Charlotte is still suspicious, so she sneaks up to Kana’s room and looks at her schedule

- Charlotte: “Van de Lune? Esme? The billionaire lady?!”

- Charlotte phones Esme’s apartment

Kana: “It’s /not,/ mom!”

- Ugh. Parents.. Also doesn’t help that Kana is exhausted from such a long day full of school and dog-walking. So she was extra excited to go to sleep.

- The girl carefully set the briefcase in her closet before she got dressed in her pajamas. She’ll figure out what to do with it later, as well as whether or not she wants to tell her parents about the money when she’s ready.

- Anyways, she brushed her teeth, said goodnight to her bunny Snowball, and climbed in bed to sleep.

- Charlotte scoffs

- Charlotte: “Kids these days. It better not be anything illegal!”

Kana: “It’s not important, mom..”

- She steps inside.

Kana: “I’m going to bed. Goodnight.”

- She heads up the stairs to her bedroom.

- Charlotte looks confused.

- How much money is it? Why doesn’t it fit in that wallet your sister gave you? How do you have that much money?!

- Maverick runs back to his room to watch more TV

- Whoops.. Busted.

- The girl quickly hid the briefcase behind her.

Kana: “Uh.. at the dog-walking job I was trying to tell you guys about earlier? But guess you weren’t paying attention, as while I was leaving, you and the rest of the family appeared to be busy watching TV.”
