Wait, so my iPad goes to the app “photos” and it won’t allow me to select a photo of my downloaded skin

Press Dressing Room at the minecraft home page under your character, then pick the hanger button on the left, press the gray skin under owned skins (maybe you will have to press choose new character, press a skin, it would look a bit messy like a puzzle, press open and i think you will see your skin.
