William Afton, also known as the Purple Guy and Springtrap, was the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment, and is the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. He was a serial killer who targeted infants and young children, and who was directly responsible for all of the incidents and tragedies throughout the series. His role in the franchise's story is pivotal. His story is told via arcade styled minigames, in which he looms in the shadows, appearing as a purple figure.
