The 707th Special Mission Team (Article 707 ) is a special forces unit under the direct control of the Republic of Korea Army Special Warfare Command. In 2019, it was upgraded from a battalion (commanding lieutenant colonel)-level unit to a dan-level (commanding colonel) unit, and the mascot is a white tiger. In normal times, it is a national anti-terrorism special unit, and at the same time, it performs various special operations including top-secret missions at the national level in times of war and similar situations.
