Mela

Mela is a character from the games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Getting the red shading I wanted took most of the time making this skin, as I used it for essentially three different parts of the skin; the hair, the front of the boots, and the back of the boots.

The boots were fun, since I usually put less focus on footwear to make room for the rest of the skin. They are one flame short, but that allowed the design I have here. The bottom two flames are butting heads together but still seem separate, but adding a third or making them all the same design as those two would make it look like a shoelace pattern, so I avoided it. There is no star on her left boot; I couldn't make it resemble one, and it took away from the flame pattern.

I wanted some of the yellow to be visible from the faces of the head, shading it looked weird, thus it is unshaded. The rest of the hair is more detailed than usual, and there are flames on the back edges.

Her eyelashes are double sided, so I chose the black over red for them.

It has been 40 skins since my last Pokemon skin, it's odd how it used to my main source of skins and then just wasn't. Though I guess very few new games were out then.
